9 months!

This girl is 9 months old!  (February4th)   I cannot believe how fast time has flown by!  She is kinda siting up, it takes some assistance and extra fluff around her, in case she falls back, but she was doing it pretty well today!  February 4th is also another significant day to someone else in the family, it is Addie's half birthday!!! She is officially 6 1/2, which is a very big deal!  We plan to celebrate with a half birthday cake, it's our little tradition.  Since both Addie and Porter have summer birthdays, they never get to celebrate it during the school year with their class. Unfortunately for Porter, his half birthday is December 30, which is also another time of year that school is out, and I can't quite keep up with quarter birthdays! Ha!  On his half birthday, Ellie was sealed to us, so that was quite the celebration!  Addie keeps trying to make it bigger than it needs to be.... half a present, half a movie, she gets to choose every detail of the day.  I had to rein her in some, or it could get out of control.  Half a cake should suffice!

Such a peaceful sleeper

Crazy that I can read a book outside at the end of January, without a coat on!

Sisters are the best!

The weather has been kind of amazing!  We have been able to play outside and lounge in the sun, and even sweat some days!

Ellie has been hitting milestone after milestone!  She rolled from her back to her tummy, she has only been able to roll from her tummy to her back... so that is awesome. She gets very proud of herself when she does it.  And she is improving on sitting up every day.  We are introducing more and more foods, but she still loves her bottle!  She is more interested in the food I am eating then the food I offer her.  I just want to be careful not to introduce too much too fast, allergies are something we want to avoid!
Ellie's last synagis shot will be next month!  Poor baby, those shots must be painful, she gets one in each leg every month.  But, I believe it has helped her.  RSV was something I was really nervous of with her!  She had that bout of bronchiolitis in October, where for 3 weeks she had a terrible cough and was just so sad and pitiful.  But since the shots, and if it seems like her nose is running and a cough is coming on, it doesn't last very long.  I am also quick to get the humidifier out, and take whatever precautions I can.  So, even though it is painful for my sweet girl, I truly think it has help boost her immune system, and so it has been worth it.  It is just so sad after the shots, she cries real hard during the shots, and then whimpers afterwards for the next half hour.  Like she is remembering and is very offended by what had happened.  Whenever she does get the shots, I try to make sure she sees the nurse who is administering the shot, so she doesn't associate that pain with me!  Let that nurse take the blame, for sure!  Her latest weight, as of February 8th, is 21 lbs 9 oz!  My little chunk, is nearly 10 times her birth weight! It is amazing how far she has come!

Addie at her good friend Addie's party. Addies' gotta stick together!

Officially 1/2 year older!

She wasn't sure how much money she collected! :D

All geared up for her rodeo field trip! Yee-haw!
Ellie's first pig tail!

She has a lot of hair, just not a lot of length just yet! But how cute, huh?!

I feel bad I have zero pictures of Porter on this entry!  He is doing great! Getting his grades back up to where they need to be!  He has made a total turn around about his attitude towards school.  He is more of a self starter now, and has taken responsibility for his homework.  It is kind of a huge deal! For most of his time in school he required tons of redirection! But now, not so much!  I honestly think his new love for reading has really helped him improve in school! Thank you Harry Potter, for being such an amazing book to read!
